London Bike Studio is an independent bike shop and workshop in Stoke Newington, North London. What started as a small garage workshop has grown into a busy cycling hub serving commuters, everyday riders, and enthusiasts. We have an excellent reputation for outstanding customer service, a great workshop, and the best dog in town.

We’re looking for a Bicycle Mechanic to join our workshop team and help deliver high-quality repairs and servicing.

This role focuses on performing professional bike repairs, supporting customers with workshop enquiries, and maintaining the organisation and standards of the workshop.

You’ll work closely with the Workshop Manager and Head Mechanic to ensure bikes are serviced efficiently and customers receive clear communication and reliable turnaround times.

Key Responsibilities

Bike Servicing & Repairs

  • Carry out bike servicing and repairs to a high professional standard

  • Perform diagnostics and recommend appropriate repairs

  • Build and assemble new bikes and install accessories

  • Maintain workshop organisation and cleanliness

  • Ensure bikes are properly stored and labelled before and after service

  • Follow workshop safety and security procedures

Customer Interaction

  • Welcome workshop customers and answer phone enquiries

  • Book bikes in for service and record clear job notes

  • Communicate repair details and service expectations with customers

  • Inform customers when work is completed and prepare bikes for collection

Workshop Support

  • Keep bikes out of retail areas and ensure safe workshop storage

  • Report faulty or missing tools or equipment

  • Support the Head Mechanic and Workshop Manager as required

  • Help maintain workshop efficiency and standards

  • Solid experience working as a bicycle mechanic

  • Good diagnostic and repair skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop

  • Good communication with customers and team members

  • Pride in maintaining a clean and organised workspace
