London Bike Studio Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to the London Bike Studio website and to purchases made through it.

When we use the words we, us or our, we mean London Bike Studio Ltd.

By placing an order with us, you agree to the Terms that apply at the time your order is placed.

Some services, including workshop bookings, maintenance courses and other bookings, may also have specific terms shown when you book. Those specific terms will apply alongside these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits or removes any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

You may use our website for lawful personal and shopping purposes.

You must not misuse the website, attempt to interfere with its operation, introduce malicious software, gain unauthorised access to our systems or use the website for unlawful purposes.

We may temporarily restrict access to parts of the website where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, technical work or updates.

We do not guarantee that the website will always be available without interruption, but this does not affect any rights you have in relation to an order or purchase already made.

We take reasonable care to make sure product descriptions, specifications, prices and images on our website are accurate.

Colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your device or screen.

Product availability can change. Some products may be held at London Bike Studio, while others may need to be ordered from a supplier or brought in from another stock location before they are ready for collection or dispatch.

Availability information and estimated collection or delivery times are provided in good faith but may change if supplier, stock or transport information changes.

If we are unable to supply an item you have ordered, we will contact you and, where applicable, refund any amount paid for that item.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.

The price payable is the price shown when you place your order, subject to any clear pricing or technical error.

Any applicable delivery charge will be shown before you place your order.

Available payment methods will be shown during checkout.

Payment must be successfully authorised before an order can be processed.

If we discover a clear pricing, product or technical error relating to your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and deal with the order fairly and in accordance with applicable law.

When you submit an online order, you are offering to purchase the products shown in your order.

Before you place your order, the checkout will show the available fulfilment options, applicable costs and other information relevant to your order.

We will send you an order confirmation after your order has been placed.

We may need to check payment, product information and availability before completing your order.

We may be unable to accept an order where, for example:

• the product is unavailable;
• payment cannot be authorised;
• there is a clear pricing or product-information error;
• we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity; or
• we are unable to fulfil the order for another legitimate reason.

If we cannot accept an order and payment has already been taken, we will refund the relevant amount.

Available options

The fulfilment options available for your order will be shown at checkout.

These may include Click & Collect from London Bike Studio and, where delivery is offered, delivery to an eligible address.

Delivery availability may depend on the product, destination, size or weight of the order and other practical restrictions.

Click & Collect

If you choose Click & Collect, please do not travel to collect your order until we have told you that it is ready.

Some items may need to be ordered in for you or brought in from another location, so they may take longer to get ready.

If anything changes with your order, we will contact you using the details you provided.

We may ask you to provide your order confirmation or other reasonable proof of the order when collecting.

Delivery

Where delivery is available, the available delivery options, applicable charges and estimated delivery times will be shown before you place your order.

Delivery estimates may vary depending on product availability, supplier stock, preparation requirements, destination and carrier services.

If an item needs to be ordered from a supplier or transferred from another stock location before it can be dispatched, this may affect the estimated delivery time.

Unless we have agreed a different delivery period with you, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law.

If delivery within an agreed timeframe becomes materially delayed, we will contact you where reasonably possible.

Delivery addresses

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

We may be unable to change a delivery address once an order has been dispatched.

If an order cannot be delivered because the address supplied is materially incorrect or incomplete, we will contact you where reasonably possible to arrange the next steps.

Risk and possession

Responsibility for the goods normally passes to you when you, or a person identified by you to receive the goods, takes physical possession of them.

Our separate Returns & Refunds Policy explains how change-of-mind returns, online cancellations, refunds and exchanges work.

For most items, London Bike Studio offers a voluntary 30-day return period, subject to the conditions set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Online customers may also have statutory cancellation rights. For most goods, this includes the right to tell us that you wish to cancel within 14 days after receiving or collecting the goods, followed by a further period in which to return them.

Where a qualifying online order was delivered to you, any refund of the original delivery charge will be dealt with in accordance with applicable law and our Returns & Refunds Policy.

For qualifying statutory cancellations, this will normally include the cost of our standard delivery service. Any additional amount paid for an enhanced or more expensive delivery option does not normally have to be refunded beyond the standard delivery cost.

The cost of sending change-of-mind goods back to us may be your responsibility where the law allows this and we have informed you accordingly.

Our voluntary returns policy is provided in addition to your statutory rights and does not replace them.

Returned bikes may be inspected by our mechanics to assess their condition, safety and completeness.

Second-hand bikes remain covered by statutory consumer rights. Their age, price, description, previous use, condition and any faults or wear disclosed before purchase may be relevant when assessing what condition can reasonably be expected.

We may require a 25% deposit when ordering a bicycle specially for a customer.

A special order does not automatically mean that the deposit is non-refundable.

If a special order is cancelled, what happens to the deposit will depend on the circumstances, including any statutory cancellation rights, whether an item has been personalised or specially made, whether the supplier order can be cancelled and any genuine loss incurred by London Bike Studio.

Goods supplied by London Bike Studio must meet the legal standards that apply to them, including being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose where applicable.

If an item is faulty, damaged in transit, unsafe, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or not fit for its intended purpose, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Depending on the circumstances, your statutory rights may include rejection, repair, replacement or refund.

If we have supplied an incorrect item, we will arrange an appropriate replacement or refund.

Where we are responsible for faulty, damaged or incorrect goods, we will cover reasonable return costs where required.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights relating to faulty or incorrectly supplied goods.

Where you purchase or book a workshop service, maintenance course or another service, any specific information or booking terms shown when you book will also apply.

We will provide services with reasonable care and skill as required by applicable consumer law.

Appointment times, course dates and other service arrangements may occasionally need to change. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.

Specific cancellation, deposit or rescheduling terms may apply to individual services where these are clearly provided before you book.

Nothing in any service-specific terms removes your statutory consumer rights.

You are responsible for providing accurate and current information when placing an order or creating an account.

Please make sure your email address, telephone number, billing address and delivery address where applicable are correct so that we can contact you and fulfil your order.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

Please contact us if you believe your account has been accessed or used without your permission.

The content of this website, including text, branding, logos, graphics, photographs and other materials, is owned by London Bike Studio Ltd or used with permission from the relevant owner.

You may use the website and its content for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You must not reproduce, copy, distribute, commercially exploit or substantially reuse our website content without permission unless the law allows you to do so.

Our website may use or link to services provided by third parties, such as payment providers, booking services, delivery carriers, manufacturers or other websites.

Third-party websites and services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party content or services that are outside our control, but nothing in this section removes any responsibility that London Bike Studio has to you under applicable law.

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.

Our website may also use cookies and similar technologies. Information about these is provided through our cookie notice and consent settings.

By providing personal information when ordering, booking or contacting us, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.

If you are purchasing as a consumer, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity arising from a consumer purchase.

Sometimes an order or service may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Examples may include significant supplier disruption, transport or carrier disruption, severe weather, power or communications failures or other events that we could not reasonably prevent.

If this affects your order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the disruption and will contact you where appropriate.

This section does not remove any statutory right you may have where goods are not delivered within an agreed or legally required timeframe.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our website, services, business or applicable law.

The Terms that apply to an order will normally be the version in force when that order was placed.

We will not retrospectively change the terms of an existing purchase in a way that removes rights you already have unless the change is required by law or expressly agreed with you.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory consumer protections and rights available to you under the law applicable to you.

If you have a problem with an order or service, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it with you.

Nothing in these Terms restricts any right you may have to bring legal proceedings in a court with jurisdiction over your consumer contract.
